Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Over the summer my dad and I shot a video for a song he wrote about his girlfriend Bev. 35 years ago today he married her and a few years later I came along. I thought today would be a fine time to premiere this little love ballad and video for the two of them. It’s a little rough for my taste, but we had limited time to shoot, so I did my best with the footage I had.

My mom sings background vocals at the very end, I’m playing the drums and my good friend Joe is playing the lead guitar. Everything else is my dad, who goes by the name Lee “Colorblind” Johnson. Enjoy!

LOW – Especially Me

My friends in the band Low are on tour promoting their latest album “C’mon.” Here’s a little video I made from footage taken on my trip to Kenya with lead singer Alan Sparhawk back in 2006. This video for the song “Especially Me” was taken on a handheld consumer camera in Maasai communities around Kenya. Towards the end of the video are pictures of the school LOW helped fund through the organization Maasai Community Connection. It houses a program where adults get a second chance at learning to read and write.

Here are some pics from a photo shoot I did with Low back in the days…
